Phired Up Hires Three; New Coaching, Curriculum, and Video Experts

Contact: Jessica Gendron Williams

Carmel, Ind. --- Phired Up Productions is excited to announce that our staff is growing once again with the addition of three new employees. Jason Allen, Tyler Blaker, and Andy Bremer all started their jobs this month as Phired Up’s capacity to provide innovative growth education and coaching for fraternities and sororities has again grown. While Bremer will focus his efforts entirely on Phired Up’s clients, both Allen and Blaker will work to enhance and expand the educational impact of not only Phired Up, but also their sister companies, Innova and TechniPhi through pioneering curriculum and video offerings.

Jason Allen will serve as the Curriculum and Learning Director. Allen brings a wealth of experience in Higher Education and Fraternity/Sorority Life to the Phired Up team. He joins the team following his time as the Director of Member Development for Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Prior to his time at Phi Kappa Psi, Allen earned his MS in Student Affairs Administration at Binghamton University in 2012, where he also served as the Greek Life Coordinator. His experience also includes serving as the Assistant Dean of Students & Coordinator of Diversity Initiatives for Cornell University.

“Jason brings our clients a unique background that combines a campus-based fraternity/sorority and diversity experience with a fraternity headquarters background,” said Phired Up CEO, Jessica Gendron Williams. “His passion and excitement for creating impactful learning experiences for students will help all our companies continue to create cutting-edge curriculum for years to come.”

Outside of work Allen enjoys playing tennis, but only likes running when he’s being chased (he admits that sounds kind of creepy). He’s also an avid people watcher and people person who enjoys spending time with his “squad”.

“My hope is that Phired Up, Innova, and TechniPhi can supply fraternities and sororities with all the best tricks and tips to fill their organizations with the best people,” said Allen. “All three companies are industry leaders and trend setters, and joining such a brilliant group of people is an honor.”

Tyler Blaker will serve as the Media Specialist (Video Producer). Blaker joins the company after working in media production for four years at Ivy Tech Community College where he created various media pieces for both regional and central office Ivy Tech. As an independent filmmaker, Blaker has also worked on films that have aired on PBS (In The Footsteps of Newton, 2014) and had a limited theatrical release (Back In The Day, 2014). He attended Hanover College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and English in 2011. While at Hanover, he joined Sigma Chi fraternity.

“Tyler wowed us throughout his interview process with his ability to understand our reason for being and purpose, and display that through his video work,” said Branden Stewart, Phired Up’s Vice President of Operations. “His video production skills, combined with his deep love and passion for fraternity, make Tyler an amazing addition to our team.”

When not behind the camera Tyler helps other filmmakers get their films out to the world. He volunteers as a screener for the Heartland Film Festival and the Indy Film Fest, as well as a judge in The 48 Hour Film Project. Tyler also enjoys serving on the board for the Housing Corporation of the Chi Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and hiking with his wife, Katherine, and dog, Sage.

"I am so excited to begin working for Phired Up, Innova, and TechniPhi,” said Blaker. “I never thought I would be able to take my love of visual storytelling and combine it with my love of fraternities and sororities, and I’m so excited to have found this special opportunity

Andy Bremer will serve as an Organizational Growth Coach, a position that will help support our current and future headquarters and chapter coaching clients in reaching their growth goals.

Bremer comes to Phired Up after serving for over six years as part of the Delta Sigma Phi staff. While at Delta Sig, Bremer was responsible for starting 36 new chapters across the country, eventually leading their New Chapter Development team which he was a part of for five years. For the last eighteen months, he worked as the Director of Development for the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon in 2010, where he joined Delta Sig. While at Oregon, he went on to become the IFC VP of Recruitment and was recognized by his fraternity as the top undergraduate recruiter in the country in 2009.

“Having worked with and coached Andy during his time with Delta Sig, I’ve seen how talented he is at sharing the fraternity experience with other young men,” said Phired Up’s Vice President, Woody Woodcock. “He truly embodies the core values of our company, and his expertise in expansion and recruitment immediately make him an asset for all of our headquarters and chapters coaching partners.”

When he isn’t working, Bremer is most likely playing golf, reading, or cheering on the University of Oregon Football and Basketball teams. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and hanging out at home with his girlfriend and their cats.

“I have dedicated a large chunk of my life to recruitment because it is at the heart of my fraternity story,” said Bremer. “I want to highlight the work our headquarters staff and chapters are doing and help to improve our organizations through bettering our commitment to recruiting and building a positive fraternity culture.”

All three of these new team members join a growing and thriving “Phamily” of companies that are dedicated to helping fraternities and sororities attract a high quantity of high quality people. They each are committed to the ideals, values, and advancement of fraternity and sorority life.

“These three hires are important additions to the Phired Up, Innova, and TechniPhi teams. They help support our long-term strategy to better support and provide leading-edge products and resources that help fraternity and sorority grow in new, exciting, and better ways. Look for some cool stuff from us soon - thanks in large part to these three men,” said Jessica Gendron Williams. “We're also looking to fill a couple more integral roles soon, so check out our careers page for more info.”
